Demo Mode
AskTony currently operates in public demo mode. This means:
- Questions you ask may be displayed publicly as usage examples
- Your questions help us showcase AskTony's capabilities to potential users
- We automatically redact names, emails, and sensitive information before public display
- Demo sessions are limited to 10 questions per session
What We Collect
During your demo session, we may collect:
- Questions asked: Your questions and Tony's responses
- Session data: Timestamps and session IDs (not linked to your identity)
- Usage analytics: Basic metrics like question count and response times
We do NOT collect: Your name, email, or any personally identifiable information (PII) unless you voluntarily include it in your questions (which we redact before public display).
How We Protect Your Privacy
- Automatic redaction of names, emails, phone numbers, and API keys
- Questions containing "confidential" or "secret" keywords are never displayed publicly
- Demo sessions are anonymous - no account required
- You can request removal of specific questions by contacting us
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request removal: Contact us to remove specific questions from public display
- Opt-out: Simply close your browser or start a new session to exit the demo
- Ask questions: Email us at privacy@asktony.dev with privacy concerns
Best Practices
To protect your privacy during the demo:
- Don't include your company name, coworkers' names, or project-specific details
- Avoid sharing passwords, API keys, or sensitive credentials
- Use generic examples instead of real data (e.g., "How do I fix a login bug?" instead of "How do I fix the bug in login.js?")
